Dr. Pepper is my favorite. I would give up a lot of things if it meant I could drink Dr. Pepper forever and ever. I am pretty positive that if you ever drew my blood - it would be mainly Dr. Pepper. So adding Dr. Pepper to my pulled pork, while it sounds strange, was the best idea I have ever heard! This recipe calls for 4 ingredients so it is quick and easy, too! Ingredients: • 3-4 lb Pork Loin Roast, trimmed of all visible fat • Good Pork Rub - I used Grill Master's Sweet & Smoky Rub • 12 oz can Dr Pepper • Barbecue Sauce - We used Sweet Baby Ray's Sweet & Spicy) Directions: 1. Season pork with your rub on all sides. Make sure to really massage the rub in to the meat! 2. Place pork in slow cooker and pour in Dr Pepper. 3. Cook on low 10-12 hours (or High for 7-8 hours.) 4. Remove pork and using 2 forks, shred the meat. Combine with the BBQ sauce of your choice and serve on buns!
It's also been suggested to try it with Pepsi and Coke Cola!
